Pai + Plans for future

We just got back to Chiang Mai. We have spent the last two days in Pai, a small town in the northern part of Thailand. The journey takes about 4 hours by minibus... but the roads in the mountains are very different from what we are used to. I guess that the distance is not very far, but there are lots of sharp curves, steep ups and downs.

Yesterday we rented motorbikes (scooters) and drove around Pai. Except for the beautiful landscape with all the mountains we went to see a waterfall, a wat (temple) high up on a hill and some hot springs. We did not swim in the springs thoug... the water was about 80 degrees celcius!

Now we are back in Chiang Mai, whee we are about to book a bus ticket to Siem Reap in Cambodia. Hopefully we are leaving tomorrw night. It will be a long jouney... about 24 hours by bus. We will not spend too much time in Cambodia. What we ant to see is Angkos Wat, close to Siem Reap. It is a place with hundreds of really old temples in the djungle (it is very famous). We also want to go to Phnom Penh off course... its the capital and we want to visit the killing fields (among other thigs). And then maybe we'll make one more stop somewhere before we continue into Vietnam and Saigon.
